exozet effects supported director Jeremy Ball (Rise of The Planet of the Apes, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) in realizing Hollywood quality visual effects for his short film, FROST.
This epic sci-fi thriller follows Naya, a young arctic hunter who is determined to prove her skills by embarking alone on a dangerous search for food. At the edge of the ancestral hunting grounds, she makes a shocking discovery: an entire civilization buried by ice and frozen in time — and a silent enemy that now threatens Naya's own life.
In creating this mysterious setting exozet took the green screen foreground footage of the actress and applied a combination of techniques that involved matte paintings and projections using The Foundry’s Nuke software. For the background reference exozet organized specific photo shoots of cityscapes in Toronto, Canada then disassembled these images into separate components and reassembled them to create a unique futuristic city.
